Ramesh Shanmuganathan is a dynamic, multi-faceted, experienced Business cum IT Executive with a very good comprehension of the ICT industry. He has over 20 years of experience in the ICT industry both in Sri Lanka and USA, with the last 15+ years in the C-Level. Ramesh possess a very strong track record both academically and professionally. Ramesh is a Hayes-Fulbright Scholar and holds to his credit a MSc (Computer Science) with Phi Kappa Phi Honours from Rochester Institute of Technology (USA), MBA from Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, BSc. Eng in Electronics & Telecommunications with First Class Honours from University of Moratuwa. He is reading for his DBA at International School of Management, Paris at present. He has the rare distinction of being amongst the top 1% of his class consistently. He is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered IT Professional and a Fellow of the British Computer Society. He has active memberships in several other professional institutions and is a visiting faculty member for several post-graduate programs. Ramesh presently works as the Group CIO and member of the Group Management Committee for the IT industry group of the John Keells Group. Prior to this he has served in the Group's IT sector as the CEO of Keells Business Systems Limited since 2001 and Head of Strategy/New Business Initiatives of John Keells Computer Services Ltd since 2004 until he assumed duties as the Group's CIO in January 2006. He has the rare distinction of being appointed the Vice President / CEO of the IT subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC, Sri Lanka at the age of 33 and as the Group's Executive Vice President/ Group's Chief Information Officer at the age of 39 Ramesh's career objective is to be in a strategic and executive leadership position in a progressive and dynamic multi-national organization that would provide him with an environment full of challenges together with new vistas of growth and development in a regional context.
